Brooke's hillbilly dream in S8
« on: April 09, 2012, 12:04:37 PM »
That dream sequence was pure genius, funny and great. But where was Chase and Clay, they weren't involved at all. Wish it dragged on for a few more minutes, probably my favorite OTH moment of all time, it was brilliantly done. It felt so authentic and could give Hart Of Dixie a run for best southern feel. I would have loved a whole episode with these characters dressed and acting like this. We've got a 1940s episode, would have been great to see a Southern episode "Tree Hill Style".

I'm glad they didn't do a whole episode like that. It was super trashy.

That was the point but I thought it was great. Love when shows do stuff like this.

That dream sequence was lame tbh. I would've hated a whole episode like that. That's your fav moment...really? And lol maybe it was 'authentic' of stereotypes of the South but probably not authentic of real southern life.

And I'm pretty sure that was one of the episodes Rob took off that season so that's why Clay wasn't there.

There is only One T r e e Hill.

probably my favorite OTH moment of all time

Seriously??!!

It was bearable for a dream but I found it pretty pointless/filler-like.

I really found it funny, but just as you, I think it was kind of filler. If a whole episode was like this, it would be boring IMO

It was ok...but a whole episode like that would've been...meh.There is only so much crap you can take.^_^

Watching perfect child Jamie with a bottle of beer in his hand was funny though. :D

It was the best part of that stupid episode (which tells more about that episode and season 8 than the sequence itself) but it was still pretty stupid and pointless. The best thing about it was how Haley looked hot. I could go shoot ducks with her all day.

Well... Maybe if they were fake ducks anyway.

Exactly. Anyone who thinks this is what everyone lives like in the South is way off. There may be a few people that do, but I've lived all over this area and never encountered someone like that.

I thought it was a cute fun scene, there's not really a lot you can get angry about when it's 30 seconds long LOL, for me anyway.

It is definitely not authentic Southern life. It's an authentic stereotype ha.

It wasn't funny it was stupid. Like a lot of the humor in season eight. Like Brooke's bachelorette party episode, and the Valentines Day episode, and the superhero episode. Trying too hard to be funny and failing. I don't know what the hell happened this season, it was like the writers forgot how to write comedy.

Hated it, just like I hated the Halloween dream! Just add it to the list of pointless things in season 8!

It originally was supposed to be longer than it actually was.
