Good idea, but a lot of people (like me) don't record resources LOL. So...

when it comes to love you're just as blinded.

I used to use brushes..like WAY back in the day when I first started out on PS. They WERE awesome to use but now I just find them messy and annoying. I only use them once in a while, on larger graphics or walls.

You can find a ton on Deviant Art and use the search engine. That is what I did back in the day when I used the brushes.

WALLPAPER TUTORIAL!

(this is my first tut EVER soo sorry if its confusing just ask if you don't get it)

OK so i use Paint Shop Pro.. but im pretty sure this is translatable

So we're going to make

to start of color/sharpen your pictures however you want to.

then place them where you would like.. this one i decided to place them in the middle.

and then choose a color for the background.. and then fill it with the color you would like on the bottom layer

(if your not sure how to fill it with a color just let me know and i'll explain)

so then after all your pics are placed MERGE all the layers then DUPLICATE the base

THEN click on radial blur

you can play around with the setting to see how you want it
this one I decided to NOT make it elliptical (as you can see it is NOT checked) and i made it pretty strong)

OH and this is important on the LEFT side you see the + in the picture.. that is where the radial blur starts from so place it where ever you want

now you image should look somewhat like this

then I lowered the opacity of the top layer

this is so i can see where his faces are.

then take the eraser tool.. depending on what exactly you want to be shown thru the radial blur, it depends what size you make the eraser tool. and i kept mine at a VERY low opacity.. 18 to be exact

no bring the opacity back to 100.

and it should look somewhat like this add text if you want. and your done (:

I feel like I'm definately going to need this thread lol
Great idea :)

and oh yeah, does anyone have CS4-like for photoshop, is it worth it? and if you didnt pay for the upgrade where did you get it free?
Also,
I have the same question! I downloaded cs3 from a link pauline gave me but it doesnt always work on my computer for some reason :P
and so if anyone knows a good place to get cs3 or 4(preferably 4 since it's been getting some great reviews), I'd like to try it out :)
Thanks in advance!

and melissa, that tut is really clear and that wallpaper is pretty! I definately want to try it out when I can!!

this is such a good idea for a thread!!

awesome tutorial mel, im gonna give it a try :)

melissa, i just crop my animation to the size of the black bit and then change the canvas size to 100x100
and then you can just put the texture as a new layer underneath the animation!

anyone know where you can find some good wall textures?

put that texture on TOP of the whole animation and erase the black part OR set it to lighten

or what Mia said
