An Open Letter of Thanks:
I stopped by today to say a big fat thank you to all of you guys at OTHFans.com and all of my fans everywhere that continue to be so supportive of me and the work that I’m doing.
Thank you to those who are continually supportive of my character, and for recognizing that there is a place for nice guys on teen shows.
Thank you to those of you that accept me for what I look like, from my sexy nose to my spiky hair.
Thank you to those who realize that One Tree Hill is a show about characters that don’t always do the right things, and that sometimes we have to see them make mistakes in order to learn from them.
Thank you for coming to mall signings, charity events, or even when you bump into me in public and for making me feel good about what I do.
Thank you for recognizing that working on OTH isn’t just a passion, and that it’s more than an hour of my life every week; it’s a job that I take very seriously and dedicate every ounce of my energy to all week long.
I continue to have a blast playing Mouth, and watching him grow, and I’m excited to pursue other opportunities as well. As you may know, “Zodiac” hits theaters on March 2nd, and it will be a dream come true for me to see myself on the big screen. I’m a kid who grew up in North Carolina and dreamed of being on television and in movies, and those dreams are coming true. I have all of you supporters to thank for it. I hope that in some small way, I can be an inspiration to someone – whether you want to be involved in film & television or whether you want to be a doctor, or teacher, or whatever your dream may be.
I guess what I really want to say is this: don’t let what other people think of you limit yourself in your quest to be who YOU want to be. Treat others with respect, and recognize that we’re all just trying to figure out who we are and where we belong.
With the good comes the bad sometimes, and I want to take the opportunity to be thankful for the good. My fans are a big part of the goodness in my life, and I wanted you to know it.
